Recently, the first Social Harmony Conference was held at Singapore. At the welcome dinner on the first day of conference, President of Singapore, Madam Halimah Yacob, delivered a very important speech. She repeatedly emphasized that in order to achieve social harmony and better future for Singaporean, we have to established understanding and trust between different ethnic groups, religions, languages and race. That night, more than 250 members of different religions swore to uphold the promise of religion harmony. President of Taoist Federation (Singapore), Mr Tan Thiam Lye BBM(L), together with other religion group representatives, took the stage to present “Religion Harmony Commitment” to President Halimah Yacob and Miss Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth.
